Write Your Way Home
Writing and Awakening Daylong Women’s Retreat (online)
“ Every sentence that comes for a writer when actually writing—however imperfect, however inadequate—every sentence is a love poem to this world and to our good luck at being here, alive, in it.” --Jane Hirshfield
“Only one thing is more frightening than speaking your truth. And that is not speaking.” --Audre Lorde
In these challenging and uncertain times, replenish your inner wellspring of creativity--and find your way home to yourself--through an immersive day of meditation, creative writing, and embodied energy practices. Slow down to connect with your authentic voice, nourish your imagination, and express the deep truth of who you really are and what is most important to you. Empower your writing to emerge from an open heart, a clear mind, and a fully inhabited body.
The day will include:
* mindful movement practice—accessible to all bodies—with an emphasis on increasing sensitivity, developing inner listening and intuition, and unclogging the body’s centers and pathways of creative energy.
*guided meditation to settle the mind, open the heart, and connect you with your true nature
*writing prompts and exercises that awaken imagery and story
* inspirational poems and quotes from women writers
*practical teachings to make your writing more vivid and powerful
*sharing your writing in small groups of women without judgment or critique
* down time between online sessions for rest, renewal, and optional journaling/meditation
