Lunch & Learn: Putting the Value in Value Engineering

 

Architects play an important role in the real estate development process, and in many cases, have limited understanding of how value engineering can be used successfully to increase the value of a project. In order for Architects to better collaborate with Clients and Contractors, it is important that they learn best practices, and provide better professional services to their clients. This course is directed to help educate Architects on value engineering, and will give you a better understanding of how to increase your project success.

This course is taught by Arne Goldman, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, Director of Business Development from Marous Brothers Construction.

Learning Objectives:

• Attendees will review the definition of value engineering and the definition of value.
• Attendees will identify the optimal time for value engineering to occur.
• Attendees will learn about a six phase process for value engineering, and who should participate in each phase. They will be able to develop their own reporting mechanisms.
• Attendees will consider how they may facilitate the value engineering process becasue they will understand the true intent of the process to advance the success of their projects.
