Wise Webinar Series:

Don't be Cueless!

 with Robyn Slocom

Please join us on Wednesday, September 9th for our webinar, "Don't be Cueless" with Robyn Slocom.

Take the mystery out of learning or teaching something new!   Become a cue finder and help others to find the cues that will lead employees, job seekers and students to independence.  If independence has been elusive, cues may be the answer.  Let’s find some together!

Learning Objectives (Info, tools, and skills attendees will receive):

  • Discover the value of cues to gaining independence
  • Practice identifying cues
  • Apply cue identification to learning and teaching something new

Do you require an accommodation, materials in alternate format or have inquiries about accessibility in this event? If so, please reach out to support@gowise.org no later than 5pm Friday prior to this webinar. Due to the short turnaround of our webinar series we are unable to accommodate same day requests. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully.

Robyn Slocom

Robyn joined Wise in 2015 with over 25 years of comprehensive field experience serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a myriad of roles. BA degrees in Psychology and Sociology/Social Work and a Master’s degree in Business Administration seem like an odd combination, but not for Robyn; she loves to both explore the “big picture” of any situation and to figure out how to make the “details” really work. She found a perfect fit with Wise, where she can focus on change management, capacity building, consulting, training, and empowering people. She loves to apply internationa perspectives and Lean Management techniques to organizational and employment program practices, focusing on value-added and person-centered activities while requirements are met in a more manageable way. Robyn lives near Portland and loves to enjoy natural beauty with her family, whether it be camping, fishing, traveling, or her personal favorite, visiting a beautiful beach!

Supported employment is rooted in the firm belief that all people deserve respect, dignity, and self-determination.  Here at Wise, we are committed to standing up for and embracing positive changes in policies and practices to stamp out oppression and discrimination in our institutions and systems. We are focused on our mission of inclusion and equitable employment for people with disabilities. With this in mind, we ask that all participants extend respect, humility and grace during our events. We strive to create a learning platform where we all leave with new ways of thinking, doing and moving supported employment forward.
