October Family Outdoor Gathering

Join us for a costume and pumpkin carving contest on October 25th from 4-5 p.m. in the church parking lot. One pumpkin per family will be provided.  Costumes and pumpkins will be judged by the Belmot Fire Department at 4:45 p.m. Families must bring carving supplies with them.

**Be sure and read our Guidelines for Family Outdoor Gatherings below.  Registering to attend is your acceptance of and agreement to uphold these guidelines.

As we continue to do all that we can to ensure we are doing no harm and helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19, our fall children's offerings will look different than they have in the past.

1) Registration is required.  We can only accommodate 50 total persons, including volunteers, so anyone planning to attend must register each guest individually, including self.

2) At least one parent/guardian must remain with child(ren) for the duration of our Family Outdoor Gatherings and is responsible for the supervision of his or her child(ren).

3) At this time, we will not have access to bathrooms and indoor facilities.  Please plan accordingly.  Participants agree to stay outside.

4) We will utlize every other parking space as directed when you arrive.  Your family may then set up chairs or blankets in front of your vehicle so that we can see one another and talk from a safe distance.

5) In the event of inclement weather, we will send an email update with registered participants to communicate if the event has been canceled.

6) Family units will maintain social distancing of 6 feet for duration of event.

7) Masks are required on our campus for anyone over the age of 3.  Masks will be available if you are not able to supply your own.

8) Participants are asked to santize regularly throughout the event.  There will be sanitizing stations available for use.

9) By listing one’s name on the attendance roster (arrive to our event), each individual or the individual's parent/guardian agrees to abide by the above requirements and also affirms that:

a. During the last 14 days, the individual has not had and is not presently experiencing any of thefollowing symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, chills, the newloss of taste or smell, new onset of head or muscle ache, nausea, diarrhea or vomiting.

b. In the past 14 days, the individual has not been in close proximity to someone experiencing the abovesymptoms or has not been around someone who is under investigation for or tested positive forCOVID-19.

c. Per CDC recommendations, we ask that if you test positive within 48 hours of attending an event atFUMC Belmont, please tell your close contacts that they may have been exposed to COVID-19. Byletting close contacts know they may have been exposed to COVID-19, you are helping to ensure wedo no harm.

10) At this time, no food should be served or shared during these gatherings (i.e. no picnics, coffee hour, potluck, snack suppers). Prepackaged, individual servings of food items may be given out provided they are served with proper hand sanitization and gloves. Ministries that include food preparation require the use ofgloves, masks, and proper sanitation before and aer.

Although these guidelines make our ministry offerings much different from those in the past, we know how important it is to be in community together and for our children to see one another.  As a church, we are to do no harm, to do good, and to stay in love with God.  The parameters listed above allow us to do these three things while allowing our children to have opportunities to gather albeit differently.  We have intentionally chosen activities that are age appropriate for everyone and that will engage children while we are together.
