2020-2021 Faculty Development Series 1

 
Fostering Civility, Resilience,
Mindfulness and Supportive Teams
four one-hour sessions presented by Dr. Jillian Horton
September 25th, October 16th, October 30th and November 13th 
1-2 pm EST via zoom

The purpose of this series is to help participants in all medical fields acquire the skills that will promote resilience, reduce stress, increase sense of connectedness and provide patient centered care.

After completing this series, participants will be able to:

~ Take time to focus on self-care
Learn techniques to deepen focus and mindfulness
Make a meaningful connection with a colleague
~ Experience reflective and appreciative inquiry
~ Learn how to utilize STOP technique in daily practice
 ~ Define resilience and key determinants of being resilient
~ List benefits of gratitude
~ Define civility in the clinical environment
~ Identify techniques to promote psychologically safe teams 

 
CME Credit is provided by Wayne State University

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Wayne State University School of Medicine and Southeast Michigan Center for Medical Education.  The Wayne State University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
