Anti-Racism Training is required of all rostered leaders that are under call.
Analyzing Racism: For our Healing and Church Renewal: A six hour workshop for rostered ministers, offered via zoom in three 2-hour sessions. This concentrated workshop examines the social construction of race and its manifestation in systemic racism and the legacy of white supremacy; provides an analysis of the factors that foster growth in congregations toward racial understanding and engagement in racial justice; and explores white fragility and the challenges of talking about race within the congregation. The workshop is grounded in scripture and our calling to live and grow as one body in Christ.

Learning & Telling the Story: Deconstructing Racism: A 12 hour workshop for lay and rostered leaders to build common language and understanding as the groundwork for a team to focus on racial justice within the ECSW. The workshop is offered via zoom in four 3-hour sessions. Learning & Telling the Story: Deconstructing Racism is designed to deepen understanding of racism and the part we all play in upholding and maintaining the system. It is grounded in the stories of participants, a story of the Bible, and stories of history. We will examine the construction and meaning of racism and identify steps and opportunities to grow in both understanding and action.
