The Center for Autism Research at
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia invites you to
Virtual Next Steps into Adolescence
A Workshop for those Supporting Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are Approaching Adolescence
|
This workshop is geared toward parents, caregivers and professionals supporting individuals with ASD who are between the ages 9-15. As children approach and enter the teenage years, they must deal with physical growth spurts, mindboggling hormone releases, and ever-changing and challenging social relationships. For pre-adolescent children with ASD, these already complicated physical and social changes are compounded by the typical ASD difficulties of reading social cues and understanding the behaviors of others.
We will hear from a psychologist, developmental pediatrician and several parents who have successfully navigating this phase with their own children.
Please reach out with any questions.
This workshop will be offered free of charge, but you must register in advance, as space is limited.
A few days prior to the workshop, you will receive an email with a private link with instructions for joining as a virtual participant, along with a packet of materials for the workshop.
Online participation is limited to 100 registrants.
