SEMCME Presents,

Preparing for Practice:
Transitioning from Training to Employment
Session 2: CVs, Searches, and Interviews
Thursday, September 24, 2020

Preparing for Practice is not a recruitment event – It’s a virtual educational program that will help trainees feel more comfortable with the process of finding their post training position and understanding employment agreements. The program will be offered virtually in a relaxed, informal environment with ample opportunities to ask questions. This fall, we are offering two sessions, giving residents the option to determine what topics might be of value to them depending on their timeline. These sessions will be repeated in the Spring of 2021.

Session 2: Contracts, Compensations, Negotiations and RVU's
Thursday, September 24,2020 from 12:00 PM - 2 PM

After attending session 2 of the program, trainees can expect to understand common contract provisions as well as ones that can be risky, learn about compensation models and benefit packages, and get tips on how to negotiate. This session is targeted toward trainees expecting to graduate in 2021 or 2022.

*These courses will be repeated in Spring 2021
