Choosing the Right Entity Structure for Your Business

About the Workshop:

This two-hour training session will provide the attendees with the ability to recognize common accounting and legal "pitfalls" that entrepreneurs and business owners face when selecting the structure for their entity.  Entrepreneurs and business owners may not be aware of or be prepared to handle, these accounting and legal pitfalls that could expose their business to significant legal and financial risks. The failure to recognize and address such pitfalls can result in costly problems for the business.  The pitfalls to be covered are:

  1. Failure to consult with a business tax accountant and a lawyer before forming the entity.
  2. Failure to understand the key differences in various entity types.
  3. Failure to have complete corporate records.
  4. Failure to timely file income tax returns.
