More on the Presenter:

Tamika Stafford is the Vice President of BB&T Community Business Development.

In this role, she supports micro and small businesses in the community by providing small business technical assistance as it pertains to banking and demystifies accessing capital with traditional banks and alternative sources. 

She has worked in various positions in banking for the last seventeen years, the last ten of which have been spent at BB&T (Branch Banking & Trust) as a Market Leader, Small Business and Consumer Lender. 

Empowering others to be self-sufficient and well-informed is a passion of Tamika’s.  She’s facilitated financial wellness seminars advising as to credit, borrowing and access to capital for businesses at events held by the Small Business Administration, Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance, ATLNext, Georgia Minority Supplier Diversity Council, Emory’s Goizueta Business School’s START:ME Business Accelerator Program, Clayton County Library Headquarters, Operation Hope,  Kennesaw State University, Piedmont College, Georgia Piedmont Technical College, Best Academy, Marietta City Housing Authority, Marietta High School, WorkSource Georgia - Cobb, COGIC, Delta Sigma Theta and many others.

Tamika enjoys serving on the Advisory Board for WorkSource Georgia Workforce Development Board since 2009.  She is a member of the BB&T Corporate Women’s Information Network and former Co-Chair for the Georgia Chapter from 2015 – 2018.  Tamika serves as the Chair of the Corporate Advisory Board for the Atlanta Black Chamber as well as an Advisory Board Member with the Georgia Micro Enterprise Network.  She also volunteers with the Greater Women’s Business Council and is a member of the Atlanta Women’s Chamber

On a personal note, Tamika enjoys traveling, reading and the theatre.
