Join CREW members from IndyCREW, CREW Columbus and CREW Cincinnati for a business development opportunity for members only.  This session is not a general "bring your business cards to a networking event and send a thank you note" kind of session. It is a "how-to guide" for developing a strategic plan-starting with firmly identifying your core competence in alignment with the company vision, mission and strategy-setting aligned marketing goals, defining target markets and clients, and using that research and positioning to increase client hit rates. This is more important than ever in light of our current quarantine atmosphere and will help talk participants through what to expect as we move out of it.

Business Development is a word used interchangeably for marketing, sales, networking, and socializing in general. That is not what it really is. This session will teach you how to create and lead real strategic business development efforts and get real results for themselves and their companies. In addition, this training will teach you how to begin pursuing more strategic opportunities that develop deep client relationships with the clients you actually want to do business with, enhance their careers, and end in signed contracts with profitable long-term clients.

Larisa Forester, CPSM, Associate AIA, is known for embracing eternal positivity, new ideas, innovative techniques, diverse cultures, and constant growth. She uses these to lead firms in international client growth and market expansion. She is passionate about helping others learn how to create meaningful, lasting relationships within companies, key industry organizations, and communities through personal involvement and dedication to constantly improving the status quo. Every day. After studying in a Côtes-d'Armor commune, painting in the Louvre, working in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, establishing a city holiday, setting a Guinness World Record, creating new business development and marketing departments for growing design firms, opening a new office, and moving around the globe, she is always ready for another adventure.  Driven to try new things and meet new people, Larisa has visited nearly a dozen different countries, and has lived and worked in a few of them. This cultural shift in approaches, processes and outcomes has not only expanded her cultural horizons but has made her much more adaptable in her strategy-building techniques and her ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of personalities.
