In the midst of life's challenges, faith communities can be a vital support system. However, stigma and a lack of education around mental health may leave faith leaders and their communities ill equipped to provide this support.
This virtual consortium will examine Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and what steps communities of faith can take to understand, alleviate, and respond to these experiences. Participants will learn what ACEs are, how to recognize the signs, and intervention strategies for preventing re-traumatization and supporting community members.
