This 1-day TRAQ renewal review class and exam is open to current TRAQ credential holders only. The TRAQ Renewal Course is a one-day event, with five hours of review instruction, and three hours for the indoor and outdoor exam.

Current TRAQ holders can complete this abbreviated course as early as 18 months prior to your qualification expiration date (** ISA has extended expiration dates due to COVID - contact ISA if you want to confirm your status before registering).

Maintain your qualification as an ISA Tree Risk Assessment professional! This TRAQ class and exam is open to current TRAQ credential holders only and is limited to 30 arborists (first-come/first-served). The qualification consists of a 5-hour renewal course followed by a 3-hour assessment that includes both a written and field component. It is required that you attend the entire course and successfully complete the assessment in order to renew your qualification. Once you pass the exam, the ISA renewal is valid for five additional years from your renewal date. The qualification holder is required to take the course and pass the exam every five years in order to maintain the qualification.

IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to review on your own how to fill out the form; this is not reviewed in the class.

In order to register at the Member Price you MUST be a member of ISA International or of Florida Chapter ISA. Registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Space is limited to 30 people.

All prerequisites for registering will be reviewed and your registration will be confirmed via email.

Registration closes at midnight on October 30, 2020 (or when filled).

Cancellation Policy: A processing fee of $50 USD will be charged for all cancellations received on or before October 30, 2020. Cancellations after April 11, 2020
will be charged the full amount of the registration fee.

What to do now?

We are appreciative that the City of Clearwater has agreed to our group event. We need to be respectful of their requests. Make sure you are comfortable with these restrictions before registering for this new class.

Our venue host will require that our attendees follow the typical COVID restrictions:

  • Do not attend if you are feeling ill, particularly if experiencing typical COVID symptoms.
  • Social distance at 6’ (our tables will be placed accordingly).
  • Wear a face mask at all times while on property, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Food and drink will only be allowed outside, including any coffee, break snacks and lunch. Eating and drinking is the only permitted reason for removal of masks.
  • Hand washing and/or hand sanitizer use is requested as needed.

And then?

  • Read the TRAQ application handbook. During the registration process you will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions in the handbook; if you do not agree with them you cannot take the course and exam.   • Complete your registration (first come, first served) Online registration link is below, or fax your form to 941-342-0463. Mailing in your registration will take longer and the class might fill before we receive it in the mail.
  • It is strongly recommended that you spend some time reviewing how to fill out the form used during a TRAQ assessment; this is not reviewed during the class.

  • the TRAQ manual and workbook (newly revised manual will be shipped to the physical address you provide NO PO BOXES; workbook will be handed out in class)
  • coffee, snacks and lunch for the day.

Travel and lodging is on your own.

What is required at the class:

  • your government issued photo ID
  • your TRAQ Manual
  • your TRAQ Workbook (handed out during class)
  • your hard hat and high visiblity vest or shirt (required)
  • #2 pencils for taking the text, taking notes and completing worksheets
  • rain gear (just in case!)
  • come prepared to spend part of the day outdoors
  • please dress for your comfort level indoors and outdoors; we cannot always control the room temperature to suit everyone

Meet the Instructor:

  • Norm Easey
    Norm Easey is CEO of the Florida Chapter ISA and has a special interest in sharing his tree knowledge; he is a familiar face at the chapter seminars as moderator, speaker and administrator. Most recently Norm served for 4 years on a panel of industry experts that created the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) credential.

An Overview:

This is the 1-day TRAQ renewal course for people who currently hold the TRAQ credential and are within 18 months of their renewal date or have an extended renewal date due to COVID.

Norm will provide an abreviated review of the ISA Tree Assessment Manual accompanied with workbook activities. Indoor review will be followed by the indoor/outdoor exam during the afternoon. You will review:

   -   Tree biology and mechanics
   -   Tree inspection and assessment
   -   Data analysis and risk categorizaion
