Business Valuation – The Importance of Knowing What Your Business is Worth

 

Business Valuation is a process used to determine the economic value of your company. There may be several reasons why you would perform a business valuation. Whether you are looking to sell your business or you may be adding shareholders to your business, this workshop is designed to educate business owners on the critical roll business valuation plays in effective succession, retirement and estate planning.

Instructor: Dung Vu

Dung Vu, CFBS is a Financial Advisor and Registered Investment Advisor Representative with MML Investors Services, LLC, Mass Mutual Pacific Coast and Signature Resources.

Growing up with a single mother and four siblings after the unexpected death of her father.  He was a business owner and the breadwinner in the family.  At a young age, Ms. Vu understood the importance not having a plan in place when the breadwinner dies prematurely.

She has over 16+ years of experience in Financial Services Industry and is passionate about assisting her clients in protecting their assets, building wealth, while planning for their future.  Ms. Vu also holds the designation as a Certified Family Business Specialist (CFBS). 

Ms. Vu is active with her alma mater and in the community. She serves on the Concert Under the Stars Committee for Cal State Fullerton’s Premiere Signature University Fundraising Event and the University’s Planned Giving Advisory Council.

Ms. Vu has served as President of Cal State University, Fullerton's Alumni Association, Board Member of Cal State Fullerton’s Philanthropic Foundation, as well as the 35/Thirty-five Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Business & Economics.

She is on active call-out status with Garden Grove’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and volunteers her time as a Financial Literacy Education Presenter for Neighborhood Works. She also volunteers with the Vietnamese Arts and Letters Association (VAALA).  For her commitment to the community, Ms. Vu received the 2015 Spirit of Volunteerism Award for exceptional service in the community and was acknowledge in 2016 and 2017 as an Honorable Mentions for the Community Services Award and Volunteer of the Year from The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation and Investment News!

In her spare time, Ms. Vu also enjoys reading and spending time with her friends and family.
