Business of Architecture

 

In this introductory session, we will be discussing different business models and firm operational structure. The attendees will become familiar of different paths they can take in advancing their career development and different approaches to becoming firm owners. We often times approach the business of architecture from a design only point of view, but not much is discussed or taught on the business side, how to continue to exist and what it takes to grow.

In this panel discussion, we will hear from some of the brilliant and diverse firm owners of their path, challenges and successes they went through and continue to build in their practice while maintaining a healthy balance of design and creativity.

The panelists will cover different approaches to firm ownership, firm structure and an overview of fundamentals in running and managing the business side of architecture.
