Fleisher From a Distance: Art is for Liberation with Candy Alexandra González

When it feels like the whole world is on fire, it can be extra challenging to stop and care for ourselves. Join us this Election Day to learn about the basic principles of self-care and mindfulness, and to imagine a future where liberation is possible. Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is the highest form of research.” Through writing, drawing, and/or collage, we will collectively push the boundaries of our imagination in order to investigate and craft a time when liberation has been achieved.

Suggested supplies
-Paper (8.5 x 11 in or larger)-Writing tools (pens, pencils)
-Drawing tools (colored pencils, markers, etc.)
-If you plan to collage, it would be helpful for you to collect photos or clipping of what brings you hope, and a glue stick!

This demonstration is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 but is limited to maximum number of 100 participants. The tour will be hosted through Zoom, which can be accessed on desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile devices. We highly recommend downloading the Zoom app to your device in advance. You will receive a URL to join the demonstration after you complete the registration process.
