Double Bayou is located about half-way up the east shore of Trinity Bay, a four-hour sail from Clear Lake. It empties into Trinity Bay near the small settlement of Oak Island. Upstream, the bayou forks to the east and west. The west fork has some commercial traffic activity and the east fork offers a primitive and scenic meander along pastures and woodlands. This route also provides an excellent area for bird watching and nature observation with an occasional alligator sighting. Discover a new experience navigating up this narrow waterway, then nosing into the bank and tying off to the trees for the night.
Don't miss the opportunity to sail to this primitive and scenic destination!
