St. Mary's Outdoor Worship

Sunday, November 22 at 10 a.m.

St. Mary’s is pleased to offer one last opportunity to gather for prayer and reflection this Sunday morning at 10 a.m. in the East Parking Lot.

The service includes scripture readings, prayers, and a reflection offered by Clergy and a Lay Participant. Music will be provided by a musician and sometimes a soloist.

We will celebrate the Holy Eucharist. There are a variety of health safety protocols in place including that we will receive only in one kind. That is, communicants will receive bread but not wine

To comply with the guidelines set forth by our Bishop, we are able to offer this worship experience up to 75 people. Please click the link below to register or call the Church Office (804) 784-5678 to register for the service by 10 a.m. on Fridays prior to Sunday.

Please plan to wear a face mask and bring folding chairs for yourself and your family. The face mask will need to be worn from the time one exits their vehicle and for the entirety of the service (about 30 minutes).

We will save handshaking and hugging for a time when it is safer and greet each other with big waves and bright eyes.

In the event of inclement weather, the service will be cancelled. Should inclement weather arise during the service, all will be asked to simply head to their cars and we will try again the next week.

Even if it may not feel like the worship experience we are used to, we look forward to being together! It may be a little awkward at first. But we've all learned a new kind of resilience and patience over these past months as well as an ability to learn and adjust on the fly! You can expect that the same will be true as we regather. We'll keep working together and get better and better at it.
