Alabama Chanin Stocking Workshop

If you were considering trying one of the kits from The School of Making when we had our Alabama Chanin Trunk Show, this stocking is also a great introduction! This meditative type of hand sewing is ideal for beginners and experiences sewists alike.

Supplies include 1/2 yard each of inner and outer fabric for the stocking, 1/4 yard each for the inner and outer fabric for the cuff, and coordinating thread.

Additional supplies you'll need if you don't already have them:

• digital stencil from The School of Making sold here (scroll to bottom of page) or any stencil of your choosing

• heat erasable marker or chalk pencil

• pins

• sewing needles

• fabric scissors

This workshop will be held remotely via Zoom. Materials will be available for curbside pick-up for local students. If you are not local, please choose the shipping option and we will contact you to get your materials shipped to you in time for the workshop. We offer free local delivery within 3 miles of our shop on Wednesdays, so if this applies to you, please choose the non-shipping option. Non-local students must register prior to Sunday, November 29th to guarantee on-time arrival of materials.
