2021 Spring Rad Tech Certification Course and Exam

Blake Zobell, DPM, will present the Rad Tech Course on Saturday, February 20, 2021, and the exam will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021. The certification course will be held via Zoom. The exam will be administered through Classmarker.com. Information for both will be sent the week of the course.

Every individual participating would be required to:
• have access to an electronic device with a web camera (phone, tablet, or computer) and microphone.
• have access to an uncluttered workspace (table or desktop) during the exam, and the ability to show that space via web cam if requested.

The cost for the course and exam is $350 per person. The registration deadline is February 12, 2021. Following is a typical schedule.

Online registration is available by clicking Register Now! below.

Upon completion of the registration form and payment, the participant will be sent an automatic email to download the study manual and Rad Tech Log Sheets.

Participants are encouraged to thoroughly review the study manual. Participants who have spent time reviewing the material, have a basic knowledge of foot anatomy, and have taken assisted X-rays in their doctor’s offices typically perform better on the examination.

After completion of the course and exam, participants will be notified in writing of examination results. Upon passing the exam, participants will receive a certificate of completion that must be provided to the Virginia Board of Medicine with a completed application and appropriate payment. Participants may not take X-rays independently until receipt of this license. Should the participant fail the exam, arrangements can be made with the executive director for re-examination in the office of another podiatrist or during the next course.

I have recently been made aware that Virginia podiatrists AND their staff are faced disciplinary action from the Virginia Board of Medicine for allowing unlicensed individuals to perform X-Rays. Please don't skip this crucial step! Licensing IS required!
