Project Cheer was created to help alleviate some of the financial burden facing our local restaurant employees this holiday season.  The goal is to provide employees a moment of appreciation for how hard they have worked transitioning to curbside and carry-out, back to indoor dining, all while navigating the regulations put on the industry as a whole.  Funds raised through the United Way of Decatur will be distributed FROM Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce TO restaurant employees in the form of Metro Money.  Metro Money is the Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce’s gift certificate program redeemable at over 45 local businesses ensuring those dollars stay local.
