Boat Volunteers 

CALLING ALL BASS BOAT OWNERS
We need volunteers with bass boats to join an international bass team for 5 days on Lake Murray. You will be driving the boat with a team 'pair' from launch to weigh-in. We provide you a USA bass hat, event jacket, boat refueling, lunch, and Opening Gala, and Awards Gala Tickets. Training sessions provided. Your participation will make this event successful. Be side by side with top anglers in their quest for Gold!  The USA Bass Team, US Angling, and Capital City Lake Murray Country all say "Thank you"!

When is the Bass Championship?

• Event:  2021 XVI World Black Bass Championship
• Dates: November 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 2021 (Tuesday – Saturday)
•   11/02/2021 Tuesday - offical practice day
•   11/03/2021 Wednesday - offical practice day
•   11/04/2021 Thursday - competition day
•   11/05/2021 Friday - competition day
•   11/06/2021 Saturday - competition day
• Times: Put-in 6:30AM -7:00AM, Angler pair load 7:30AM, Take-out 5:00PM
• Location: Dreher Island Stte Park

What is a Boat Steward?

• Steward: the judge on the boat to ensure fish are not intentionally foul hooked and netted.
• Steward: drives his own boat, assigned to same team pair for 5 fishing days of event

What we provide to our Boat Stewards:

• Event Official Jacket
• Event Hat
• Daily Lunch
• Daily Ice
• Gas will be provided to refuel boat each day at Marina
• Boat Number Sticker for event duration
• Daily event breakfast with teams at Doubletree Hotel 
• Breakfast each day at host hotel in Columbia
• Steward & Volunteers Meeting
•   Stewards & Volunteers must attend one meeting, 3 meeting times offered
•     Saturday, October 30, 2021 - 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Stewards and Volunteers Meeting
•     Saturday, October 30, 2021 - 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM Stewards and Volunteers Meeting
•     Sunday, October 31, 2021 - 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM Stewards and Volunteers Meeting
• Monday, November 1, 2021 Opening Dinner Ticket
• Saturday, November 6, 2021 Closing Awards Dinner Ticket 

What we need from you:

• Bass boat and good working motor 150hp +
• Working live tank on boat and backup bucket if power failure
• Basic electronics or radar
• 3 life jackets in boat for you and anglers to use when under way
• Truck and trailer to get your boat to ramp each day
• Your own all weather gear because we fish in the rain
• Ability to gas boat each day at Marina, we pay for your boat gas
• Ability to charge boat batteries each night
• Bass boat to have current Insurance Policy
• Willingness to make this event the best ever
• Energy to spend 5 days with a Team pair from another country
• To tell your friend with a bass boat to come be a Steward, too!

What you do on the boat:

• Drive anglers to locations they want to fish
• Ensure boats stay a minimum of 50m apart when lines are in water
• Ensure all fish are netted
• Ensure no fish is intentionally snagged
• Never provide fishing information to teams
• Report any irregularities to event organizer
