Bay Area Flying Club Instrument Ground School

Winter 2021

January 4 through February 11, 2021

 Mondays & Thursdays 6pm-9pm

Are you looking to add an instrument rating to your Private Pilot Certificate?  The Instrument Ground School Course will provide you with all the training necessary to pass the FAA Instrument written exam. Topics include flight instrument systems, attitude instrument flight, instrument navigation, airports and airspace, FARs, ATC systems and clearances, departure, enroute and arrival charts and procedures, holding patterns, approach charts and procedures, GPS navigation, flight simulation, meteorology, aeromedical factors, and IFR emergency procedures and flight planning.

While you can certainly take care of your studying on your own, most people prefer to attend a classroom course. Not only will this ensure you cover all the material, but it will also provide the structure and organization to get you through the required material in an organized and timely manner.

The next ground session starts on January 4th and runs for 6 weeks on Mondays & Thursdays 6p-9p.

The cost of the class is $350.00, due on or before the first day of class.

Recommended materials are: Jeppesen Instrument Syllabus, Jeppesen Instrument Manual, and Jeppesen Instrument Rating Airmen Knowledge Test Guide.

For more information you can contact Bay Area Flying Club at 925-449-5025 or at frontdesk@bayareaflyingclub.com.

Class space is limited, so don't wait to register!

Please note: All ground schools are currently being held online via Microsoft Teams due to social distancing concerns. Instructor will email meeting invitations prior to start of course.
