Meeting Information

Leading Libraries During a Pandemic: Join the Leadership Interest Group in discussing successes and failures over the last year in leading a library during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will learn from each other, share best practices and strategies, and commiserate about hardships. This will be a discussion, not a presentation, so be prepared to share!

Interest Group Facilitator:  Julie Evener

I am the Director of Library Services at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where I have worked for 10 years. I have my master’s degree in library and information science from the University of South Carolina, and an education doctorate in higher education leadership from Walden University. Previously, I served on the NEFLIN Board of Directors. My experiences in my job, as well as on the NEFLIN board, have helped me hone my skills in strategic planning, budgeting, and outcomes assessment. I also have experience working with various types of academic libraries, myself being the long-time director of the library at a for-profit, health sciences university. My research has focused on academic leadership topics including organizational learning, employee engagement, and innovation.

Cost: NEFLIN Interest Groups are free of charge and are open to NEFLIN members only.  Registration is strongly encouraged.
