Are you interested in cultivating a deeper reading experience for your gifted child?Join us for this 30-minute virtual Snapshot event with SAA’s Dr. Ama Thompson to learn ways to enhance your child’s reading at home, including book selection tips and practical enrichment and extension ideas.
As Student Support Coordinator at Science & Arts Academy, Dr. Ama Thompson leads the Student Support Team, working in partnership with families to ensure clear understanding of students’ learning profiles and sharing strategies to help maximize student potential. Her focus is on what students and teachers need to succeed and grow.
Dr. Thompson has spent over 20 years in education and earned a B.S. in Communication Sciences & Disorders, a M.A. in Learning Disabilities and a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University. She is also a certified Learning Behavior Specialist.
