Meeting Information

Technology that didn’t work as expected

Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 2 PM - 3 PM

At this meeting, we will have a general discussion of our experiences with technology deployed in our libraries that didn’t quite go to plan. We often learn the most from situations we must adapt to. Please bring your tales of technology growing pains and how you modified your plans to succeed in these situations. Some possible examples of experiences can range from the neglected self-check machine, the maintenance demanding 3-D printer, or the perils of EnvisionWare printing. Also, any stories about technologies that posed a significant challenge to implement that you would recommend avoiding are of interest. I hope this discussion will allow us to share some lessons learned so we can have more technology successes at our libraries.

After the general group discussion, Raymond would like some input from the group on the upcoming NEFLIN technology conference.

Please come prepared to share with your microphones ready to go!
