Speaker: Sallie Mullins Thompson, CPA/PFS, CFP®, CDFA, MBA is a comprehensive financial planner, investment adviser, tax strategist, and divorce financial/tax analyst who provides offerings to professionals, families, and small business owners in accounting, tax compliance, budgeting/cash flow projections, income/asset protection, investments, and college/retirement/transition planning. Before beginning her financial services practice, Sallie spent 20 years with IBM in NYC and Houston as a system engineer, project manager, and marketing representative. Her professional organizations include: AICPA, NYSSCPA, Financial Planning Association (FPA Metro New York), NAWBO-NYC, WIPP, Association Divorce Financial Planners (ADFP), National Association Divorce Professionals (NADP), Family Divorce Mediation Council (FDMC); NYS Council Divorce Mediation (NYSCDM), APFM, & NY Association Collaborative Professionals (NYACP). 
In 2015, Sallie was appointed by the US Treasury to a 3-year term representing New York on the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP), making recommendations to the IRS regarding taxpayer service and serving as the TAP Vice Chair in 2017. She is certified as a MWBE with NYS/NYC. She has supported NFPs for 25+ years as well and currently serves as Treasurer for FamilyKind.  She also mentors small business owners at NYS’s Micro Mentor site, provides pro bono financial planning to underserved populations, serves as a mentor in the NAWBO-NYC chapter mentoring program, advocates for women business owners in tax and capital access, consults with MWBEs at NYC Small Business Services (SBS) agency, aids divorcing women in understanding their financial/tax situation, and instructs small business owners in the NYC FastTrac program.
