In Michele Boillotat’s previous role as the Executive Director of Women’s Philanthropy at Indiana University, she had an opportunity to work with university leadership and highly involved volunteers to build a successful engagement program for female alumni, spouses, parents and friends which resulted in more than $125 million being raised for programs university wide. In this virtual session, Michele will share the key research findings that led to the development of the women’s philanthropy program at IU. She will also discuss key successes and learned lessons of the program, along with the best practices to consider when working with your female donors. Learning objectives and outcomes are:

  • Learn about key research showing the trends of philanthropic giving by women
  • Hear about one institution’s response in building an engagement strategy for women through the development of a formal women’s philanthropy program
  • See the impact of women coming together to support a shared cause
  • Discover best practices that can be implemented in your organization
