Honoring the Memory

 of Barry King

On March 23, 1977 the lives of the King family would be changed forever; tragically, Timmy King, age 11, would become the fourth victim of the Oakland County Child Killer.  His father, Barry King, would dedicate the rest of his life seeking justice for his son - the case still remains unsolved.  Determinted not to be bound by this devastating event and motiviated to enact change, Mr. and Mrs. King established the Tim King Fund, which offers assistance to abused and neglected children, and promotes youth activities in Birmingham, Michigan.  We are grateful that the King's have also been cherieshed, longtime supporters of CARE House.

This year, CARE House Circle of Friends seeks to honor the memory of Barry King for his tireless efforts acting as a champion for the safety of children.  As we celebrate him, we remember his family's painful story that gripped our community more than 40 years ago.  by recalling the victims of the Oakland County Child Killings, we turn our attention to the children that CARE House stands ready to serve in 2021 and beyond.
