Jennifer Cottrell 


After 15 years in the video sales business,Jennifer Matthaei Cottrell started, You’ve Got It Made, specializing in promotional products, advertising specialties, and imprinted apparel.  In it’s 21st year of operation, You’ve Got It Made has provided branded products for such diverse companies as Central Atlantic Toyota Distributors, Catholic Charities, DARCARS Automotive Group, and TangleU Productions.

In addition to being a successful business woman, she is a registered yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance) who has over 40 years of involvement in the Yoga community. She holds an ERYT 200 hour Certificate from Yama Studio in Baltimore, MD, and is certified in Radiant Child Yoga levels one and two, Meditation Facilitation, and Ayurvedic Wellness Counseling with an additional certification in Ayurvedic Pulse Technique.  In June 2107 she achieved her 500 hour RYT certification and became a Certified a Yoga Therapist.

In October of 2013, Jennifer became a Certified Zentangle Teacher.  She offers this wonderfully meditative instruction through James Madison University’s Life Long Learning Institute, as well as, private parties and lessons. Jennifer is always seeking opportunities to enhance her teaching of holistic wellness both in-person and in our new on-line world!



Create a Zentangle« Cairn with Jennifer Cottrell 


 A Cairn is a man-made pile (or stack) of stones. The word cairn is from the Scottish Gaelic: cÓrn [karn] .Cairns have been and are used for a broad variety of purposes, from prehistoric times to the present. Join Jennifer as she walks you through creating your own rock cairn of beautiful tangled and colored rocks.

Cairns have fascinated Jennifer for many years and she will share with you about cairns. As you create she will delight you with stories of cairns encountered on walks through nature. Enjoy a relaxing after noon of creating and make your own Cair that is balanced, dimensional, and beautiful. 


In This Workshop Participants Will:

  • Design your own personal cairn
  • Learn to "stack" your rocks in a manner that is balanced (It won't fall over!)
  • Create fabulous Zentangle« patterns on your cairn
  • Apply Jennifers secrets for making the rocks look dimensional


Particpants should be familiar with the Zentangle« method.


  • Art paper measuring 4x6 or 5x7 (Bristol, Hotpress Watercolor, Canson« Mi-Teintes«
  • Tombow or Faber Castell Pitt pens brush watercolor markers
  • Black micron 01
  • White chalk pencil (Generals or similar)
  • Black colored pencil (Prismacolor or similar)
  • Graphite pencil 2B
  • Tortillion
