I. ZOOM MEETING SESSIONS (27 HOURS)

Tuesday, April 13, 2021 – Orientation 6:00-7:30 pm

Tuesday, April 20, 2021 – Session 1, 6:00-9:00 pm

Saturday, April 24, 2021 – Session 2, 9:00-3:00 pm

Tuesday, April 27, 2021 – Session 3, 6:00-9:00 pm

Saturday, May 1, 2021 – Session 4, 9:00-3:00 pm

Tuesday, May 4,  2021 – Session 5, 6:00-9:00 pm

Saturday, May 8, 2021 – Session 6, 9:00-3:00 pm

II. GUIDED LEARNING ACTIVITIES (13 HOURS)

Readings, reflections and activities are assigned to be completed by trainees on their own time before each of the Zoom sessions.  Participants should plan for the following:
  •  About 5 hours of activities to complete in the week after the orientation
  • About 2 hours of activities to complete between each of the training sessions.

OCHR Basic Mediation Training

TRAINING SESSION INFORMATION:

OH Human Relations offers a very 'hands on' mediation training, with interactive activities and live mediation coaching throughout.

This training consists of an orientation and 6 training sessions held online on Zoom, and approximately 13 hours of assigned activities for participants to complete on their own time between sessions.

  • This online training begins with an orientation, with an overview of the training and in introduction to the online classroom and assigned activities.
  • The rest of the Zoom training meetings will take place on Tuesdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a 30 minute break for lunch.   
  • Participants must have the ability to access Zoom and Google Classroom through links provided by the trainer (connection instructions to be provided prior to the start of the training).

Remember: It is also important to schedule some time between each session to complete activities:

  •  about 5 hours of activities to complete in the week after the orientation
  • about 2 hours of activities to complete between each of the training sessions

Attendance and Activities are required.   If participants miss a training session or do not complete their assigned activities they will not be eligible to receive the certification at the end of the training, but may be offered the opportunity to make up the missed session in a future training to complete their certification requirements. 

MANUAL OPTIONS

You have the option of having a printed manual  mailed to you,  or selecting the 'digital manual' option and receiving a discount.  If you select the printed manual option, be sure to include your mailing address when you register.

Many of the assigned activities have an option of watching a video OR reading the section of the manual.   We provide these different options to accomodate different learning styles and preferences. 

You may prefer the General Registration (with Printed manual) if:

  • You prefer reading in paper (not digital) format
  • You prefer to  highlight and make notes as you read
  • You would like to have a printed manual for reference

You may prefer the Discounted Registration (PDF manual only) if:

  • You are comfortable reading in a digital format (on your computer or tablet)
  • You prefer to save money, paper and materials
  • You prefer to free up space in your home/offce and keep only digital manual for future reference
  • or you are comfortable watching videos (some sections of the manual are still required reading)

 

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT INFORMATION:

Limited Space: Registration will close once the class limit has been reached. Register early to ensure your spot.

Pricing:  Regular pricing for this training is $555.00.  Discounts are available for early registration and digital manual options.

Payment Options: The registration form allows for instant registration via Paypal payment or pending registration by selecting payment via check. 

  • If you would like to mail in your check please select the 'payment via check' option and mail in your check to our offices at  1801 E. Edinger Ste 115, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
  • To pay via credit card over the phone, please select 'pay by check' option, and call us at  (714) 480-6570 (press* for the Office Manager)  to complete your payment over the phone. 
  • Please note that your registration is not complete and your space is not reserved until your check or credit card payment has been received.   To receive the early bird pricing, all payments must be received by the early bird pricing deadline.

Cancellation: Once registered, any requests for cancelation of registration must be received in writing 14 days prior to the start of the training and are subject to a $50 processing fee. There will be no refund issued for cancelations received after April 1, 2021.
