Please join us for an exciting presentation on a very cool project. Maybe some of you are hikers and have been intrigued by a large construction project underway in the heart of Mission Trails Regional Park.  Well, now's your chance to learn all about it! We are so pleased to welcome Karla Sanchez as February's guest speaker!

When: Tuesday, February 16th, 2021, 6 pm - 8 pm

Where: Zoom (Zoom link provided upon registration - registration link is above and to the left)

Karla Sanchez works for the San Diego Water Authority and will be presenting on the Mission Trails Flow Regulatory Structure II and Flow Control Facility Project. Karla is also a member of National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and will briefly talk about the NSBE as well.

The Mission Trails Flow Regulatory Structure II and Flow Control Facility (FRSII and FCF) project is currently in construction within Mission Trails Regional Park. The project includes a 4.88 million gallon flow regulatory structure, removal of eight aqueduct vent structures, a 135 cubic feet per second (cfs) flow control facility , and abandoning two miles of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe. This work is the last in a suite of projects to upgrade the Water Authority’s untreated water system in the northwest area of the park.

We hope to see you there!
