EDAS Transition Event: From Covid to COP26 Conversations

As the vaccination programme rolls out and we begin to look to recovery from the impact of Covid, our series of conversations for members will turn its focus towards COP26, providing an opportunity for Scotland’s economic development practitioners to come together to look at the opportunities presented by a transition to a net-zero economy and the practical challenges involved in realising these opportunities.

In this session, EDAS strategic partners will discuss emerging economic development opportunities and the support planned to help fulfil net-zero ambitions. This will be followed up in our annual conference, People | Planet | Prosperity: Scotland’s Climate Opportunity, which will be staged over a 4-part COP26 Conversations Series, on the run-up to the UN Climate Change Conference, Glasgow. The session also provides the chance for us to discuss our strategic plan for 2021 – 2023, which is under development and take on board our members' views and ideas. Co-hosts EDAS Chair Liz McEntee and Deputy Chair Charlie Woods, Director, Scottish Universities Insight Institute with Panel Guests:
