ASCE Sustainability - Meeting Low Impact Development (LID) Requirements through Infiltration

 

Speaker: Kathryn Thomason, P.E., Water Sales Engineer at Oldcastle Infrastructure

The presentation will cover meeting low impact development (LID) requirements through infiltration. This includes navigating Washington Ecology's drywell regulations, Green Infrastructure, deep infiltration design, Torrent MaxWell products, and case studies of local projects.

Attendees will receive 1 PDH for attending this webinar.

Speaker Bio:

Kathryn holds a B.A. in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University and has worked in both the stormwater manufacturing industry and private civil consulting. She has over 15 years of experience in stormwater treatment design including rainwater harvesting, infiltration, detention, and regional stormwater management.  As an expert analyst of site plans, project budgets, and regulatory approvals, she works to find cost effective stormwater solutions for clients.  She has worked on projects in Oregon, Washington, and California, and loves to talk all things stormwater.

Kathryn is an avid hiker and loves taking her young kiddos along on new adventures. She is passionate about the environment and believes that getting kids out in nature is one of the keys to helping them want to protect the amazing world we live in.
