11th Annual Chili Cook-Off & Pop-Up Restaurant

The Association for Mental Health and Wellness is hosting its 11th Annual Chili Cook-Off & Pop-Up Restaurant on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 939 Johnson Avenue in Ronkonkoma.

Chili lovers will enjoy both meat-based and vegan chili selections by reserving their table. Two seatings, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm and 3:00pm to 5:00pm for parties of two to ten people will reserve a spot along with a complimentary chili flight of three tastings for each person. The menu will feature additional orders of chili along with other delicious food, corn on the cob, cornbread, desserts, and beverages available for purchase.

There will be live music and an array of fabulous raffle prizes that include terrific products, services, and experiences. For every reservation, a vote is cast for a favorite chili, with an award ceremony held at 5:00pm.

Event attendees ages 12 and up need to show proof of vaccination status or a negative COVID test within the last 72 hours.

SCHOOL OF ROCK: 12:30pm Seating

The School of Rock, with three locations on Long Island, offers a strong music education to our community with lessons taught by real, practicing musicians. They teach everything from singing to piano, bass guitar, drums, and keyboard. Favored genres in the area include metal and hard rock. At School of Rock, students can perform live shows and develop their skills in a supportive and practical learning environment. With students ranging from toddlers to adults, School of Rock is where music students grow into real musicians.

CAROLYN MILLER: 3:00pm Seating

New York's rising country artist Carolyn Miller has been performing professionally since the age of eight. She uses her big, powerful voice to create her own style that captures the true essence of country-pop. Carolyn released her debut EP in 2018 independently and since then, she has not only headlined and sold out numerous shows around the northeast, but also shared the stage with country superstars. Music Mayhem Magazine said that Carolyn is “poised to have a banner year.”

We are, once again, hosting our annual raffle which provides a huge array of products and services from electronics to personal care, to gift baskets.  We will be running the raffle online as well as in-person on October 16.  There will be one raffle at each of the two seatings, as well as a premium prize raffle.
