2021 OA Spring Fellowship

Spring fellowship is just around the corner. We will be welcoming new members into our Lodge and accomplishing some work projects to get the camp ready for spring and summer.

One of our major projects will be brush clean up from spring and summer storms.  David Starks will be conducting a chainsaw safety class on Friday night for any adults interested in becoming Chainsaw Safety Trained.  If you plan on attending the training, you will need a hard had, safety glasses, hearing protection (ear plugs or muffs), and chainsaw chaps or pants.  All attendees are encouraged to bring sturdy work gloves as much of the brush has thorns.  We also need a couple of trailers to haul brush to the burn pile.

All members, remember to pack your Class A uniform and don't forget your sash!

Camp will be open at 6pm on Friday with ceremonies to start around 9:00pm.  Candidates are encouraged to arrive between 6:30 and 7:30pm.  Check in will take place in the dining hall.

We are always looking for new ceremonialists. If you would like to be part of the ceremony teams, Elangomats, or ordeal master for future ordeals, contact Lodge Chief Austin Rouser at ajrouser@gmail.com or email oa@cimarronbsa.org.

A Note From Your Lodge Adviser: Brothers: Spring is in full swing. Chapter meetings have been happening and chapter elections and new chapter officers are getting in place. Get involved with your chapter. Our chapters will help take the OA program to the local units. Help us let the OA be a valuable resource for your units.

2021 Lodge dues are due and you can pay them with your fellowship registration. Approximately one third of our members are current. Please bring your dues current to ensure you stay on our mailing list and get info about events, offers, and happenings.

Section 8 Conclave will be later this year. Conclave is a fun filled event which brings together all the Order of the Arrow Lodges from across Oklahoma & Arkansas in warm fellowship.  Conclave will feature a visit from a National Officer and a full scale Native American Pow Wow.  Many camp activities will be open including shooting sports.  Throughout the weekend there will be opportunities for games and to win the coveted Golden Arrow.  Be watching your email for more information to come.
