Car and Helmet Requirements

Clean your car out! Remove all loose items from inside your car (you don’t need that water bottle getting wedged under your brake pedal). This is best done at home so you don’t have a pile of stuff on the ground at the event. If your floor mats are not firmly attached to the floor, remove them.

All lug bolts/nuts must be torqued to their proper setting. The battery is to be fastened down and the positive terminal covered.

Working seatbelts are required and will be worn during the event.

Approved helmets must be manufactured to the current rating (2020) or the two previous ratings (2015, 2010). Helmets built to Snell Foundation standards or other standards such as FIA 8860, SFI 31.1 and BS6658-85 Type A-FR are approved for use. Helmets may have Snell M (motorcycle) or K (kart) approval as well as SA (automobile racing). Any helmet approved for PCA Club Racing is permitted. DOT approved helmets are not acceptable. If you have questions about helmets, please contact Bob Kunz (autocross@silversageporsche.com).
