Financing with Iowa Microloan

Micro businesses, those with five or fewer employees, make up the largest group of clients helped by SCORE. There is a special organization in Iowa that can offer financial assistance to those small businesses that need only a minimum amount of capital in order to be successful. Come learn about Iowa MicroLoan.    

Workshop summary:  money in hand

The participants will learn of the history and mission of the Iowa Foundation for Micro-enterprise and Community Vitality. The goal of IFMCV is to foster and encourage entrepreneurship throughout the State of Iowa by providing a revolving loan fund along with the identification and access to technical assistance. Those attending will be guided through an explanation of the products we offer, the parameters for loan qualification and the technical assistance aspect. This is intended as a brief study of who we are and what we do. workshop will review how and why this non-profit was created and how it can help small start-up companies with funding and expertise. Your Instructor:  Craig Downs

 Craig is President and Senior Loan Administrator of Iowa Foundation for Microenterprise   & Community Vitality (IFMCV).  He has 30+ years of commercial banking experience in a   variety of roles with large and small banking institutions in various regions of Iowa.  Craig   holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Business and Economics from Iowa   State University and has graduated from several Banking Schools.  He has been with   IFMCV since 2008.
