In 1831, the Gorham Manufacturing Company was established in Rhode Island. What began as a small silversmithing enterprise eventually became a global titan of silver manufacturing. In the three-part documentary series Chasing Silver: The Story of Gorham, viewers are given an intimate look at the people and historical events that led Gorham to a tumultuous ride through soaring prosperity and devastating hardship.
Join the producers of Chasing Silver: The Story of Gorham, Maria and Scott Saracen, for a preview screening and conversation on Wednesday, May 19 at 6 p.m. The screening will highlight excerpts from all three episodes, share behind-the-scenes discussions between the producers, plus include interviews with those who shared their stories to help make the series possible. The three one-hour documentaries air on WSBE Rhode Island PBS at 9 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, May 23, 24, and 25.
The preview event is free to attend and will be held on OVEE (Online Viewing and Engagement Experience), a safe and secure media viewing platform used by public TV stations across the country. Register today to receive the OVEE link.
