Hoarding 101

This two hour training for professionals will include some of the basics, to understand what hoarding is, and the discussion will include information on the harm reduction approach, using Universal Inspection Checklist, the Clutter Image Rating Scale and HOMES assessment and other helpful tools in the network.

Discussion will also include how to help with the sorting /organization process, reasonable accommodations, and other helpful resources available for individuals with hoarding disorder that have been successful.

Denise Egan Stack, LMHC 

Denise Egan Stack is a home based CBT therapist who has been treating children, adolescents, and adults with OCD and anxiety for over 20 years. She has been involved with the IOCDF since 1998 and currently serves on the Board of Directors and Scientific and Clinical Advisory Board, is co-writing the IOCDF website Anxiety in the Classroom, and helps to plan the pediatric programming for conferences. In addition, she has trained professionals nationally and internationally on evidence based treatment for OCD.
