Lean Thinking: Eliminating Waste to Increase Value

Teri Johnson

Please join us on Wednesday, March 31 for our webinar, "Lean Thinking:  Eliminating Waste to Increase Value", with Teri Johnson.

Lean is a problem-solving philosophy that incorporates numerous tools and strategies within a business to optimize time, resources, and productivity. Originally linked to the continuous quality improvement by Toyota, Lean has now been adopted by many industries including healthcare, manufacturing, banking, government entities and many other organizations. This session will provide an overview of the basic concepts and outline the twofold benefit of promoting Lean practices within your own organization while expanding your ability to collaborate with businesses in identifying value added employment opportunities. Also explored will be the similarity between several common employment supports for individuals with disabilities and effective Lean strategies.

Learning Objectives (Info, tools, and skills attendees will receive):

  • Be provided an overview of basic Lean concepts.
  • Recognize the value of promoting Lean practices to improve and sustain  outcomes.
  • Learn several useful Lean tools that can be utilized immediately to improve efficiency and add value to any setting.

Do you require an accommodation, materials in alternate format or have inquiries about accessibility in this event? If so, please reach out to support@gowise.org no later than 5pm Friday prior to this webinar. Due to the short turnaround of our webinar series we are unable to accommodate same day requests.
