WTS NC Triangle Chapter Transportation YOU Mentor Program April 15th, 2021
Join us at the next Transportation YOU event and try your luck at our raffle to win a gift card from Quail Ridge Books!
Sign up for our next WTS Transportation YOU event on April 15th. At the last event of the program year we will learn about Aviation and Drones presented by Evan Arnold and his colleagues at NC State University. Drone technology is advancing rapidly both in technological capability and regulatory approval. NC State is a leader in researching new ways to use drones for everything from mapping with photos to delivering life-saving medical equipment to 9-1-1 emergencies. We will discuss exciting progress that is being made in the drone industry, and follow that up with the opportunity to see a few drones in action! (and hopefully everyone will get a chance to fly the drones too!). Individually packaged dinner from Jimmy John's will be provided before the event. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to April 22nd.
This is the 9th year of our chapter’s involvement in Transportation YOU, WTS’ STEM outreach and mentorship program for girls. Girls between the ages of 10 and 18 interested in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics are encouraged to attend. If you are interested, please complete the application and email it to tynctriangle@gmail.com.

This is not your typical Engineering Event. Be sure to share this invitation with friends and family who might know a student who would like to participate or have an interest in being a mentor.
