Recovery Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws: What You Need to Know

Join Interact for Health for a webinar to learn about Landlord Tenant Laws and Recovery Housing. This webinar is for professionals working or interested in recovery housing located in Ohio and Indiana only. This webinar will include information on:

  • How landlord tenant laws apply to recovery housing.
  • How to ensure your recovery house complies with landlord tenant laws.
  • Steps you can take to be in compliance.

This is a comprehensive two-hour presentation. Questions will be taken from the participants. 

Presenter

Joe Maskovyak, Affordable and Fair Housing Coordinator, Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio      

Joe started at COHHIO in August 2014 after having served on the COHHIO board for many years. He is a long-time housing advocate, starting his career at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus where he became the managing attorney for housing and worked on behalf of low income housing clients in Franklin County. In 2007 he moved to the Ohio Poverty Law Center where he pursued legislative work around housing on the state and national level. He has a bachelor’s degree in Russian and Political Science and a master’s degree in Political Science from Bowling Green State University. Prior to attending law school, he spent four years teaching in the Political Science Department at BGSU. He earned his JD from The Ohio State University and is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Florida.
