Birds in the Hills Festival 2021 

The Birds in the Hills Festival is a family-friendly series of outdoor events during Mother’s Day weekend featuring bird watching. This year there are four events occurring May 8-9. 

• Birding by Bike tour on the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway
• Birding by Ear walk at the Presbyterian Farm in Union Furnace (Hocking County)
• Sunrise Kayaking Paddle on Lake Snowden with Touch the Earth Adventures
• Prothonotary Warbler Mother’s Day Walk along the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway.

Sign up for one or several of the events to enjoy spending time with other bird enthusiasts in our community. 

In addition to it being Mother’s Day weekend, May 8 is Global Big Day, during which the Cornell Lab of Ornithology encourages people to bird their hearts out all day and submit data via eBird, a citizen science platform.

Not an avid birder? That's okay! Expert guides and fellow birders will be present to share the tricks of the trade to help grow your appreciation and understanding of birds.
