Thank you for your service as a substitute for the Guest Teacher/Substitute Program in IU13 and/or the school districts of Lancaster and Lebanon counties.

GUEST TEACHER (EMERGENCY CERTIFIED) SUBSTITUTES:

Your day-to-day substitute emergency permit is valid for one year, and will expire on July 31, 2021. Your emergency permit must be renewed if you wish to continue as a substitute teacher. Please read these instructions carefully and complete the required items in their entirety. IU13 will process the renewal of emergency permits in the order renewal items are received until August 15, 2021. Completing your renewal paperwork prior to July 20th should allow ample time for your permit to be processed by the beginning of the school year.

If you wish to work ONLY for Substitute Teacher Service (STS) as a Guest Teacher, please renew your emergency permit through STS and select the appropriate registration option below to indicate this.

NOTE: Any renewal paperwork received after August 15, 2021, will require Guest Teachers to provide updated paperwork, including clearances, physical, TB test in order to renew the emergency permit.

ALL GUEST TEACHER (EMERGENCY CERTIFIED) SUBSTITUTES MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS IN ORDER TO RENEW THEIR PERMIT FOR 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR:

Complete the online EMERGENCY PERMIT APPLICATION for the 2021-22 school year using PDE's Teacher Information Management System (TIMS) accessed through Internet Explorer or Firefox. Complete the 2021-22 Guest Teacher/Substitute Preference Form by selecting the option below. Please be advised that if you select a district in which you did not work during the 2020-21 school year, you will be required to provide updated paperwork including clearances, physical, and TB test to be eligible to substitute in that district during the 2021-22 school year. Any updated paperwork should be submitted to IU13 Human Resources Services by August 15, 2021.

Submit your $25 non-refundable Renewal Fee. Payment is acceptable via credit using PayPal (PayPal account is not required). Please follow the instructions provided on the preference form to submit your renewal fee. NOTE: There is only one non-refundable renewal fee whether you renew to substitute in school district(s) and/or IU13.

IU13 PA CERTIFIED SPECIAL EDUCATION SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS:

If you wish to work as an IU13 PA Certified Special Education Substitute Teacher in IU13 classrooms for the 2021-22 school year, complete the 2021-22 Guest Teacher/Substitute Preference Form by selecting the option below.

IU13 SUPPORT SUBSTITUTES:

If you wish to work as an IU13 Support Substitute for the 2021-22 school year for any of the positions below, complete the 2021-22 Guest Teacher/Substitute Preference Form by selecting the option below.
