Teaching Mindfulness to Youth:                                                    A Summer Training Intensive for Educators & Mental Health Clinicians

EVENT FAQ'S

What is the cost to take the workshop?

The fee is $255 before July 15 and after this date, the fee is $295.

Is it necessary to have previous mindfulness experience to register?

Participants should have (or had) a personal mindfulness practice or have taken a 6 to 8-week course in mindfulness fundementals previous to registering.

What Covid precautions must i take in order to attend?

In order to hold this workshop in person, we are requiring each participant to be vacinated and to follow masking and socially distancing guidelines outlined by the CDC. Registration is limited to 30 people to allow for physical distancing. Activites will be held both inside and outdoors.

What happens if a statewide shutdown re-occurs and we can't meet in person?

In the event of last minute statewide restrictions, the program will be offered over Zoom Tues.- Fri. August 3 – 6 in consecutive half-day sessions. Please keep these dates open in your schedule.

What does the registration fee include?

A continental breakfast will be provided each day, along with afternoon snacks.  You have the opportunity to order lunch ($15 per day) when you register or bring your own.

What Continuing  Education Credits are offered?.

We are planning to obtain SCECH's for educators and social work CEU's for this event. A small extra fee will be charged for those requesting them ($10.00 for Scech's and $25.00 for CEU's).

What should I bring to each session?

Participants are advised to bring a yoga mat and water bottle, as well as their own lunch if they prefer to eat on site.

Room Location

Walk to back of building where you will see a large deck and entrance. Look for signs.

Can I register for more than one person?

No, there are a set of questions that each person is asked to fill out individually.

Group Discounts, Scholarships or Student Rates 

We will have a very small number of scholarships available. If you would like to receive a scholarship, please let us know and provide reasons for the request. The student rate for this event is $175.00. This rate is only available for full-time university students.

What is the refund policy?

A $45 processing fee is taken for any refund requests made prior to July1, 2021. After July 1, no refunds will be issued.
