Sunday Creek Watershed Camp 2021

The kids will spend the week exploring creeks, playing in the woods, and enjoying nature while learning about science! Sunday Creek Watershed camp will happen June 7-11 at the Wildcat Hollow trailhead, with the option for transportation from Glouster Park.

Ages: 7-12

Location:

  • Monday - Thursday, we meet at Wildcat Hollow Trailhead, north of Burr Oak Lake.
  • Friday, we meet at the Burr Oak Beach.
  • There is the option to drop children off at the Glouster Memorial Park, where they'll ride in our van together to camp. Please indicate in registration whether you will drop your child off directly at the trailhead, or ride from Glouster Park.

Times: You can drop your child off anytime between 8 and 9 am, and pick them up between 4 and 4:30 pm.

Food: We provide breakfast, lunch and snacks. Please send a reuseable water bottle. We strive to use local and healthy foods when possible.

What to bring: Please send boots or old shoes for wading; a water bottle; masks(s); and a change of clothes.

Cost: $75. Scholarships are readily available upon request.

COVID-19 protocols:

  • Camp will be entirely outside. Unlike previous years, we will not transport children in enclosed vehicles, with the exception of campers riding from Glouster Park or in the case of severe weather or emergencies.
  • Campers will be split into two groups to reduce their exposure.
  • Campers will wear masks when playing together (even outside). Masks will be removed when eating and when in the creek or lake, per CDC advice. Distancing will be required when masks are removed.
  • Please stay home if anyone in your household is feeling sick.
  • Please contact us if you have further questions about COVID protocols.

Accessibility: We are committed to supporting a diverse range of needs and abilities. Please contact Darcy Higgins if you have questions about how we can support your child's participation in camp. Camp often involves hiking on rough trails and creeks. If this poses a physical or other challenge for your student, let us know so we can make an accomodation plan!
