Tending Life at the Threshold

Spirited Meditation Circle

Are you looking for more peace and centeredness in your life? To approach each day with more grounding to support your mental health and wellness? Do you find inspiration in the collective energy of community joining together in service of the heart?

I invite you into this daily community meditation via Zoom to enhance a sense of connectedness, decrease feelings of loneliness and isolation anchored in by the pandemic, and open a supportive energetic space to focus in on developing or revitalizing your meditation practice. What the world needs now is more of us taking deep, tender loving care of ourselves every day, and bringing that transformational healing energy of wellness and love into the world.

The Celtic festival of Beltane (May 1) is the halfway point between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. Engaging together at this time, as the amount of daylight continues to grow and reaches its peak at Summer Solstice (June 21), allows us to utilize the natural flow of energy from Mother Earth to sustain us, just as the energy we create together becomes an offering to her and all of her inhabitants.

Come as you are
We will be meeting early in the morning (depending on where you are joining us from), so come as you are – sweats and bedhead are welcome. Have your blanket to wrap up in, if you desire, and whatever else you need to be comfortable as you ease into (or out of, or through) your day.

Bring your favorite warm beverage, and perhaps consider creating a ritual around preparing for our session by getting your beverage ready and bringing it to nourish you with its warmth and scent and taste as we practice. Maybe you’ll even light a candle before logging in, setting an intention for our time together as part of your ritual for joining. Make this a special, sacred time that is yours.

You may find your pets or littles (or partner or friends) may want to join you. You may even choose to join us from outdoors as you commune with the birds, the trees, the sun, and the moon. We are all one and all are invited into this space of stillness we create together.

You may not be able to join us every day – come as often as you are able, or as you like. Rest in the knowing that we are coming together at the same time each day and are holding the space for you to be with us in person or in spirit.

If you are experiencing Zoom fatigue or prefer privacy as you meditate, know that you are free to have your camera off whenever desired. We may utilize chat to interact occasionally, and perhaps open microphones ever-so-briefly for check in/check out to further infuse the space with our presence, but interaction is not required. The space we create and hold together energetically will offer an added boost of goodness to each of our individual meditation experiences.

We will meet for 30 minutes each day (including weekends) at 7:30am central time by Zoom. I will offer various techniques such as guided meditations, breathing practice, mantra, and use those as preparation for moving us into silent meditation – a few minutes to start (early May), building over time to a maximum of 20 minutes (by Summer Solstice). Each session will conclude with a quote, an inquiry for self-reflection, or a short reading to carry with you into your day.

Who is this for?
This circle is open to anyone who wants to experience the power and support of community meditation in order to build a practice or enhance their existing one; those who may want to learn and gain experience with a variety of meditation techniques, revealing that the power of peace and stillness is yours always; those looking for a supported energetic space in their day for self-care and nurturing to infuse their life with more goodness and light.

No previous background with meditation is required to join us – just a willingness to explore your own experience. Be free to take only what resonates for you and leave the rest.

Fine Print: By joining this community, you understand that the meditation guidance offered is not a replacement for therapy or professional mental health support. If you have questions about whether this is for you, please feel free to email me at: christy @ tendinglife.com

My intention in creating this community space is to invite more love, ease, and connection (both within ourselves and with each other) into the world. Through our practice together, I envision us coming into deeper relationship with the grief and heaviness we all carry during these times of uncertainty by engaging what is, being present where we are, finding peace in the moment. In the process cultivating spaciousness and a greater capacity for joy in our lives, and by extension, the world.

This community is offered freely from my heart to yours. For those who feel so moved and easily have the means to do so, I am grateful and open to donations via Venmo (@Christy-Marek-1) or PayPal (@tendinglife) at any point during our time together.
