The UCSF Neuro-Oncology Gordon Murray Caregiver Program "Planning Ahead" Series

Caregiver Webinar:

Illness Strikes. Now What?

Navigating Insurance & Disability

Presented by Steve Knox, Staff Attorney from Triage Cancer

About the Event:

The diagnosis of a brain tumor can bring on a whirlwind of emotions for caregivers. On top of that, handling the practical aspects of insurance and disability can seem like a daunting task.

Join the UCSF Neuro-Oncology Gordon Murray Caregiver Program in hosting our second bi-annual webinar with presenter Steve Knox, Staff Attorney from Triage Cancer, to learn helpful information on navigating these issues throughout the illness.

This event is open to all caregivers of a brain tumor patient.

About Your Presenter:

Triage Cancer is a national, nonprofit organization that provides education on the practical and legal issues that may impact individuals diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers, through free eventsmaterials, and resources.

Steve Knox is a staff attorney with Triage Cancer. Prior to joining Triage Cancer, Steve worked with a nonprofit legal services agency in Detroit defending tenants in eviction proceedings. He performed community outreach to educate tenants about housing rights and trained and mentored students from several law schools. He brings to Triage Cancer an informed passion for providing empowerment through education to people in crisis.
