Middle Tuscarawas River Watershed Camp 2021 

Kids ages 8-12 can join us in learning about waste management, biodiversity and our ecosystem, wetlands, and birds! Participants will get to make neat crafts, play fun games, and enjoy nature while learning about science! Supply pickup will be on June 14th. June 15th and June 17th (Tuesday and Thursday) will be entirely virtual. June 16th and June 18th (Wednesday and Friday) will be virtual in the morning and in-person for the afternoon.

Ages: 8-12

Location:

  • Monday - Supply pick up will be at Mineral City Park right next to our office.
    8728 High St NE Mineral City, Ohio 44656
  • Wednesday and Friday - The mornings will be virtual and the afternoons will be at Mineral City Park.
  • Tuesday and Thursday - The day will be virtual.

Times: You can drop your child off anytime between 12 and 12:30 pm, and pick them up between 4 and 4:30 pm.

Food: We provide snacks for the in-person afternoons. Please send a reuseable water bottle. We strive to use local and healthy foods when possible.

What to bring: Please send boots or old shoes for our outside activities; a water bottle and masks(s)

Cost: Free

COVID-19 protocols:

  • Camp will be entirely outside or virtual. 
  • Campers will be split into two groups for in-person activities to reduce their exposure.
  • Campers will wear masks when playing together (even outside). Masks will be removed when eating, per CDC advice. Distancing will be required when masks are removed.
  • Please stay home if anyone in your household is feeling sick.
  • Please contact us if you have further questions about COVID protocols.

Accessibility: We are committed to supporting a diverse range of needs and abilities. Please contact Vicki Irr if you have questions about how we can support your child's participation in camp. Camp will have activities that involve running, walking over uneven areas, and bending to look at plants or bugs.
